Do You Still Dream Big Dreams? A Story About Change, Fear, and Finding Your Path

Do You Still Dream Big Dreams?

Recently, I asked myself a question.
Do I still dream big dreams?

Maybe it’s a question you carry within you too.
Not loudly. Not every day. But it’s there. In those moments when you step onto a path you don’t recognize. A new job. A new role. A new world.

A quiet question, somewhere behind awareness, appears:
How did I end up here?
Why did I leave what I knew?
Why did I step out of what felt safe?
Why am I here?

In a world of technology.
Social media.
Artificial intelligence.
In a world where we are no longer “secretaries,”
but “virtual assistants,” “administrative assistants,” “operations assistants”…
Where writing is no longer just writing,
but “content creation,” “copywriting,” “creative writing,” storytelling…

And I admit — sometimes it confuses me.
Because these are not just new titles.
It is a new language.
And I learned it later.

But then I pause.
And I remember…

How many times have I already been at the beginning?

How many times have I walked a path that wasn’t mine — until it became mine?
Like in the mountains.
You don’t see the peak.
You don’t know how much is left.
But you keep going.
Step by step.

Because somewhere deep inside, you know — there is a reason.
There is a summit.
And there is a view waiting for you.

Those of us who remember VHS tapes,
phones with cords we untangled using a pencil,
did not grow up in this world.

And yet, we are in it — for a reason.

Because the dreams we once dreamed
have not disappeared.

Inspirational quote about dreams returning and knocking again, encouraging reflection and inner calling

As I wrote recently:

dreams don’t come to guide us —
they return… and knock again.

And we can ignore them.
We can stay “reasonable.”
Busy.
Safe.

But they remain.

Because a dream that is yours
does not ask for permission to exist.

So today, I will not ignore them.
Today, I will call them. Not on a mobile phone, but on one with a cord.

Hello?

Dream…
come.
Remind me who I am.

Today, I am living that feeling again.

Some feelings cannot be explained — only felt.

A dream I once had —
now a book.
